Under the leadership of Dr. Michael A. Grego, Superintendent, Pinellas County Schools District and the Office of Strategic Partnerships, the 21st Century iClass Learning Center Program will provide students a valuable and reliable resource to assist them with their college aspirations, careers and life. The role of the 21st Century iClass Learning Center, as designated by Pinellas County Schools, is to serve and support the mission of 100% Student Success, while also expanding the impact, reach, and capacity of education via a revolutionary independent community-based learning academy. The 21st Century iClass Learning Center will fulfill its mandate by effectively implementing a clear strategic plan, which addresses the needs of our collaborative partners while also empowering Pinellas County students to reach their full potential. Free of charge to parents.
The 21st Century Learning Center, is a comprehensive program designed to provide activities that support high-quality expanded learning to meet the needs of children and families in the following schools: Campbell Park, Fairmount Park, High Point Lakewood, Maximo Melrose, Midtown, North Shore, New Heights Elementary and Ponce De Leon have been mandated by the district to provide extended learning time to help students meet state and local academic achievement standards. Centers located at each school site will introduce students to teaching and learning strategies using state-of-the-art processes and software that supports core curriculum and social development standards. The project goals focus on improving the academic performance of those students with the greatest need, by addressing the entire child and family dynamic. The services provided by the 21st Century iClass program is of no cost to the parents and families.

Summer Program Description
21st Century Community Learning Center Summer Program
June 10 – July 18, 2019: Monday - Thursday
(July 4 – Holiday)
The 21st Century Community Learning Center Summer program is June 10 – July 18; no program July 4, 2019. Per the aforementioned school information, all 21st Century summer school sites will operate from 12:30 – 4:30 p.m. Students who do attend Summer Bridge are still eligible to participate in the 21st /Century summer program.
There will be a plethora of academic enrichment activities, STEM projects, technology projects and field trip throughout the summer program. The centers will focus on academics, social behaviors, critical thinking skills, technology, academics as well as enrichment activities such as dance, music, health and wellness.
Field trips will include but not limited to: Florida Aquarium, Bush Gardens Animal Kingdom, USFSP Marine Science, Rays Baseball, Glaizer Museum, Tampabay History Center, Dali Museum, and McGough Nature Center.
In order to be considered for student placement, parents must fill out the summer application in its entirety. The students must be entering grades 3 – 5 for the upcoming year. Application should be turned in to the school office or sent to the District Office of Strategic Partnerships or you can fill out the electronic version by clicking the link below. Program managers will respond to you within 48-72 hours of receiving the application.
